Aug. 5th, 2022 09:18 pmsome days the most uneasy thing about some of the.... ao3 and otw shenanigans, is not that there are many committees and they are all very busy and arguably overstretched.
It's that sometimes it seems like committee A doesn't know what committee B is doing, even when committee B is busy building up all.... kinds of .... promises... or... implications... on their behalf. [personal offense aside... this degree of siloing... when combined with their alleged volunteer attrition level...]
Well. At least the communication and siloing related problem has FINALLY made it up to their actual priority list...
It reminds me somewhat, actually, of actual work related problems when the organisation got very large -- at least in terms of responsibilities -- and the working teams and tools/aids available didn't get scaled up at the same time. Which. Hm. As many things as the Organisation for Transformative Works is working on... I'm not surprised, but I wish I was.
